Briefing of CIIF

Approved by the State Council, Jointly organized by National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Information Industry, Ministry of Education, Chinese Academy of Science, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, co-organized by China Machinery Industry Federation and managed by Shanghai World Expo (Group) Co., Ltd., China International Industry Fair (hereinafter referred as “CIIF”) is one of the largest of its kind, which puts emphasis on the latest high-tech products in the world.

CIIF originated from Shanghai International Industry Fair, which started from 1999, has entered into the eighth year by continuous, healthy and steady development. Approved by the State Council, Shanghai International Industry Fair has been renamed as China International Industry Fair from 2006 to build a world famous industrial fair in the east with higher level, larger scale and stronger brand.

“Informatization and Industrialization” is the theme of the 8^th CIIF, which lays stress on modern equipment and engineering technology, intensifies the four major functions of “trading, displaying, evaluation and forum”, promotes trade of “products, technology and property right”. On the foundation of seven successful sessions of SIF, the 8^th CIIF aims on “Internationalization, Specialization and Market Economy” to attract more attendees and exhibitors, to bridge for suppliers and demanders, to provide a platform for technology information exchange and to exhibit corporate images.
